Privacy Policy

Chrome Web Store Limited Use. LinkAssist's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve the core functionality of the LinkAssist extension and platform.

• Storage permission: caches your sign-in token and preferences locally.
• ActiveTab and scripting permissions: read a post only when you trigger the AI assistant, and insert the reply you choose into the comment box.
• Website content access: captures post text and media only when you use "Save to Swipe File".

We do not monitor your browsing history or collect data from websites other than LinkedIn and our own service domains.

We do not collect:

• Full card numbers or CVV codes. You enter these only on Chargebee's hosted checkout.
• Health information.
• Your LinkedIn messages or DMs.
• Private information about your connections.
• Posts you view but don't interact with.
• Location beyond the region implied by your IP address.

• Service delivery: generating LinkedIn posts, comments and ideas, and publishing what you schedule.
• Personalisation: building your User DNA and writing style from your own posts.
• Account and billing: managing your account and subscription, and processing payments through Chargebee.
• Communication: service updates, billing notices, product emails and support replies. You can unsubscribe from product emails at any time.

AI and your data

• We send the prompts needed for each request to our AI providers: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI and Google (Gemini) for writing and images, and Perplexity and Tavily for web research.
• These providers process API requests under terms that do not use your data to train their models. They may keep request logs for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for safety and abuse monitoring.
• We analyse your LinkedIn posts only to match your writing style. Your style data is stored in our own database and is never shared with other users.
• Your data never trains a model for anyone else.

Change notice. We will notify you 30 days before adding a new provider that processes your personal or production data, by email, with a dashboard notice, and by updating this list.

We will never:

• Sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
• Share your LinkedIn credentials with anyone.
• Use your data to train AI for other users.
• Share your content with competing services.

Security measures

• AES-256-GCM encryption for stored LinkedIn access tokens, and encryption at rest by our infrastructure providers.
• TLS 1.2+ for data in transit.
• Role-based access with least privilege.
• Error monitoring, alerting and rate limiting.

Retention

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad pixels such as the Facebook Pixel or Google Ads.

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Erasure: request permanent deletion of your data.
• Portability: receive your data in JSON format.

To exercise a right, email support@linkassist.ai from your registered address with a subject such as "Data Access Request" or "Data Deletion Request". We may ask you to verify your identity, and we respond within 30 days.

Do you sell my data? No. We never sell, rent or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers or third parties, except the service providers in Section 5.

Is my LinkedIn data used to train AI for other users? No. Your posts are analysed only to match your own writing style.

Where is my data stored? In AWS Mumbai, India: our database, files and style data. AI requests are processed by the providers in Section 4, mainly in the United States.

Do you store my card details? No. You enter them on Chargebee's hosted checkout, and Chargebee and its payment partners process them.

How long do you keep my data after I delete my account? 30 days for recovery, then it's permanently deleted. Encrypted backups are overwritten within 90 days, and invoices are kept for 7 years as Indian tax law requires.

Are you SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified? Not yet. Our infrastructure and billing providers, including AWS, MongoDB Atlas and Chargebee, hold these certifications, and we follow industry best practices.

LinkAssist is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data, and we delete it if we find any. If you believe a child has given us data, contact support@linkassist.ai.

For significant changes we email you 30 days in advance and show a notice in your dashboard. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. If you continue to use LinkAssist after a change, you accept the new policy; if you disagree, you can delete your account.
